Title: Finding Home
Warnings: Boy-love, brotherly love, spoilers up to the recent manga chapters involving the Uchiha, non-con, angst.
Rating: NC-17 (Most of this chapter is not worksafe. So. 8D Enjoy?)
Characters: Primarily Sasuke and Itachi.
Pairings: Mainly SasuIta with eventual ItaSasu. This is not your usual Uchihacest fic. If you are looking for good, ol' fashioned ItaSasu, please try our other work, Dance With the Devil.
Summary: Sasuke has grown up knowing the truth about the clan massacre, but nothing has been made better for it. Rather than abandoning the village, Itachi has spent the last eight years of his life in ANBU. When he is suddenly discharged, he and Sasuke are forced to pick up life where they left off, but nothing is the same anymore. This is a story of the fine line between love and hate, of atonement, and of desperately trying to find your way back home.

Have decided to attempt to document each day of the last week I have left here. And I'm going public for a while because it feels right again.
I went out with my mum and forgot to take my phone along with me. It's rather nice to be inaccessible and cut off from people once in a while. I'm the sort to whom perpetual connectedness isn't the be-all and end-all of life, and most of the time the handphone can just go and die. Especially when it doesn't have Snake. Got my hair trimmed at the insistence of my mum. Do not like it. I miss the hairdresser we used to go to and haircuts at the quiet little Citylink branch of that company. It's gone now together with the guy (he resigned). Things move so fast here. Yesterday I went out with mel and found in a book a quote from one Random Singaporean: "The crane is the national bird of Singapore." It quite resonates at this point.
We went to the reference section of the National Library and hung out with the Southeast Asian books. I had a glimpse of the doughnuts donors' gallery with its old skool maps and books that reminded how deep in hell my Chinese has descended, and we met the nicest security guard ever there who laughingly said "young girls nowadays not interested" when we told him we'd see the rest another day. Then we embarked on a Failed Hawker Centre quest that landed us at the Kopitiam instead. Had naan (with an expensive tiny dish of curry) and popiah and ice kacang, which regrettably did not make me shiver deliciously this time. Then we parted ways and I missed the bus.
THANK YOU FOR THE GAG ORDER GUYS. I am wearing that shirt on national day.
Today I walked around Plaza Singapura with my mum and aunt and we had dimsum which was yummy, but I couldn't be arsed to take pictures. From the window I watched this mini John Robinson skateboard in the open area below. I remember the communal tub of tiramisu ice cream shared by four people at that place one night. The funny thing is that I'd forgotten what happened before that; it's just the ice cream memory that remains. Tomorrow I'm going to watch The Dark Knight with people whom I might not see again for another year.
I keep drifting from the subject of today, but then again there's nothing much to talk about. It was a family day with the now inevitable shopping. I am absolutely sick of shopping on one hand, but it has also opened new possibilities on the other. I mean, I detest how I look good in nothing but it's also made me a tiny bit more confident. I know I'm fugly but I also know that no one should feel like he or she hasn't got the right to pick out pretty clothes to try on just because they don't exactly have the looks to go with them. It's made me dare to venture beyond my solid-colour-t-shirt and jeans combination at least, and even - gasp - start looking at skirts. I almost semi-like shopping, but it's I can still think of manymany more better things to do. Plus most shops play really shitty music and overcharge on overrated clothes. |

I love how everyone about the Avatar fandom has been making "Shipping: You're Doing it Wrong" posts. Personally, I think people just need better ships. After all, both Pakku/Kanna and Pakku/JeongJeong happened. (they were standing next to each other! JeongJeong totally protected Pakku with a wall of fire! It counts!)
Seriously, you just need to read the canon better so you can figure out the right pairings. It's not my fault you fell for something dumb like Zuko/Katara or Ty Lee/Anyone Male. :D
(Incidentally, I'm writing a story in the far future of avaverse. It involves a bunch of grad students. One of them is doing her thesis on "Sapphic imagery in the oral traditions of the Kyoshi warriors during the mid-to-late Sozin empire." She uses this fact to drive away any man who tries to hit on her in a bar.)

Summary: Two encounters with a mother figure. Too much love can hurt sometimes.
They are small, btw. It’s ambiguous, so whatever, but still they are young. (You don’t need to read the rest of the story to understand this, but it would make me happy.)
Just some short little filler while I get my act together for the rest of the story. I realized earlier that I had no idea what the point of the story was. I had my prompt but then it turned into something bigger and I had no idea what to do with it for a while. BUT NOW I KNOW!! And I have been so caught up thinking about the future of this that I have neglected what is going on RIGHT NOW. So, essentially, I wrote you guys some filler to keep you busy!! And it’s not crappy filler, either. IT’S CANON. THINK ABOUT IT.

I stole a computer to write this Batman AU. For reasons which should be obvious, it is movieverse only. There are spoilers for The Dark Knight, but more in the sense that it will be hard to understand if you haven't seen The Dark Knight than in the sense that it gives a lot away, I think.
